Energy optimization in a historical residential building

  • Implementation of a holistic energy concept complying with the protection of historical monuments and village renewal
  • New building components insulated to meet low-energy house standards while the historical facade remains unchanged
  • Improvement of thermal insulation on the upper floor through internal insulation of the half-timbered construction, at the West-oriented side through the added glazed verandah and additional insulation of building components in the basement
