Integration of results of the program "Building of Tomorrow" into the established qualification program of energy counsellors and their daily consultancy activities
Preparing the results of the "Building of Tomorrow" program for energy counsellors by elaborating a material collection and integrating it into the basic education of energy counsellors. Furthermore a one-day training course for already active energy counsellors will be designed and held.

Summary
The number of energy counsellors is steadily growing. Due to rapid developments in building technologies and energy supply systems, the implementation of the EU directive on Energy Performance of Buildings, rising energy prices and intense media coverage on energy topics, home owners´ demand for energy counselling is increasing. Energy counsellors are important opinion leaders transferring results of the "Building of Tomorrow" program (in German: "Haus der Zukunft", abbreviated: "HdZ") directly to the final customers (home owners, deciders on investments, architects, builders) via energy consulting.
The current project aims at preparing information from the "Haus der Zukunft" program tailored to the needs of energy counsellors, encouraging them to pick up HdZ-results in a quick and immediate way and to use HdZ-knowledge in their daily consultancy activity. The results of HdZ-projects which are relevant for real-life consultancy (key topics are a result of the kick-off-meeting) and for final customers are selected in a two-step process (a first rough project-screening before the kick-off workshop and a refined screening after the agreement on energy consultancy key topics during the kick-off workshop).
Future energy counsellors will receive information on HdZ-results via the established traditional qualification courses for energy counsellors ("A-Kurs" and "F-Kurs"). To this end talks are held with key lecturers of the qualification courses in lower Austria and Vienna about the possible integration of HdZ-results into their training curriculum. Consequently, available lecture notes and training material are screened. Based on this information the project team prepares an "HdZ-material collection" (slides and explaining text passages) discussing the training's key topics from an "HdZ-point-of-view". Lecturers are provided free of charge with the resulting material collection and are made familiar with its content. Recommendations on the integration of the results into their lectures are given. The material collection and a final workshop are open as well to any other organisation operating in the area. The participation of specifically chosen partners in the project team provides for considering the interest and perspectives of the stakeholder groups of architects and planners.
Since already active energy counsellors can't be reached via the base qualification courses ("A-Kurs" and "F-Kurs") in the above manner a special seminar shedding light on key questions of energy consultancy from an "HdZ-point-of-view" will be designed for this target group and will be held once. The state-of-the-art represented by HdZ-results will be presented to the counsellors at the seminar.
Feedback from energy counsellors about the relevance of HdZ-results in daily consultancy activity will be collected and passed on in a final presentation to planners and architects, researchers and the HdZ-program managers as an input for new ideas and for the definition of the need of further development and research.
